What is Rally Obedience?
Rally Obedience can be described as obedience exercises performed in a sequence format (think like a mash-up of dressage and an obstacle course). It is made up of a compilation of many of the traditional obedience exercises, including heeling, sit, down, stand, and stay, but Rally puts the emphasis on having FUN with your dog while building on foundational obedience skills.
Rally is a terrific sport to use to build a working relationship between dog and handler that will serve as a foundation for everyday life skills, other human-dog team sports such as agility and any type of dog assisted therapy programs.
Better understanding of body language interaction with your dog. Helping your dog learn to move with you in harmony.
Loose lead attentive walking assists with general cooperation with your dog in your everyday activities which will allow your dog to participate in more aspects of your daily life
Builds connection between dog and handler
Learn the different Signs
Learn the Rules, Judging, and how points work in a trial
Run Mock courses
Help you build on you and your dogs relationship and communication, while making sure you still have fun!
Prerequisites and tools needed:
Have attended a Paws Republic Basic Obedience course/ had an assessment to test for basic obedience equivalent
Treats/Reward Toy (treats that are small and soft/easily chewable)
This is a 6 Week course and cost is $200 (+taxes), with a $50 deposit to hold your spot.
