About the Event

Back by popular demand... Our Walk the Walk 1/2 day seminar with Christina gives you the tools you need to build the perfect loose leash walk and take the stress out of your stroll!

If you're like most people who have dogs, you spent your fair share of time daydreaming about the wonderful walks, runs, or bike rides that you and your four-legged family member would go on together when you brought your puppy home. And - like many, many other people - things haven't gone quite the way you thought they would.

If you have found yourself struggling to keep your arm in its socket while Rover pulls you down the street, if you have narrowly avoided crash landing your bicycle on multiple occasions because Fido saw something that NEEDED to be investigated, if you find yourself embarrassed by your dog's behaviour every time you see another dog (or cat or rabbit or child or particularly scary looking rock).. this is something you won't want to miss.

Join Christina for a half-day seminar geared towards teaching you and your dog all the skills required to be able to enjoy The Walk the way it's meant to be enjoyed.

Topics covered will include;

- focus in various positions,

- effective leash communication,

- how to stop and then change the behaviours you don't want,

- and how to effectively train with increased distractions.

Each participant will have the opportunity to work one on one with the instructor in addition to observing other participants with their dogs.

This seminar will be taught using balanced training methods that give the dogs a clear picture of what you want and what you don't want by providing clear, consistent feedback. Food rewards, verbal and physical praise, and play rewards may all be utilized along with appropriate and fair verbal and/or leash corrections.

Cost for the Basic Seminar is $100 per dog/handler team with a maximum of 6 participants.

Location: "Class C" Building at 19-Centennial Drive North, Martensville SK

** If your dog is displaying severe reactivity issues or has had bite incidents while walking on-leash please contact us to inquire about our Reactive Dog Seminar which will provide a stronger focus on bringing a stop to unwanted behaviours with more one-on-one time in a smaller class environment. **
